The 美姬社区working group developing a toolkit on BPD is seeking additional members. 美姬社区QI toolkits target key NNAP measures with basic QI tools and methods that are quick to learn and easy to apply.

In recent years, the incident of comorbidities association with extreme prematurity has reduced, with the exception of BPD which has shown a steady increasing trend. The UK has one of the highest reported rates in Europe. This toolkit will use the latest evidence to suggest practical ways units can reduce their incidence of BPD cases using QI methodology.

Vacancies on the group are:

  • LNU consultant or trainee
  • Speech and Language Therapist
  • Physiotherapist
  • Nurse Educator

No previous experience of 美姬社区working groups is required. Applications from 美姬社区members will be given priority but all are welcome to apply.

It is envisaged that this work will take approximately nine months and involve 3-4 virtual meetings although more may be scheduled if needed. All meetings are expected to be virtual.

To apply please complete the application form and return to the 美姬社区Office by 5 September.
